Hello Sharparoon/Green Acres Alumni:

Most of you are aware that the New York City Mission Society (NYCMS) Sharparoon/Green Acres camping programs as we knew them ceased to exist years ago.   We were disappointed that the official NYCMS website had no mention of any of the Camp Sharparoon, Green Acres, or Teen Valley camping programs’ history.   In 2007, NYCMS made a decision to cease using the Dover Plains properties for any activities.   In 2008, the property was sold to a private developer.

This website is dedicated to you, Sharparooners, to help you connect with past friends and to reminisce about your camp experience.
